FAQs

Here are some of our most frequently asked questions.

  • The length of the Stokvel is specified for the Stokvel you select and you will be expected to make a payment each period, except for those that are covered by your prepayment. You must keep paying the monthly instalments after you have drawn.

  • Not yet, but we are evaluating adding the ability to match groups of people that already know each other into Stokvels together. Be on the lookout for an announcement when this is available.

  • Adding a Circle will not be available at launch but turned on very soon after. We will communicate details about this once it is ready to go live. So watch this space!

  • 1ForYou Stokvels take the hassle out of organising and administering a Stokvel yourself, dealing with payments, chasing people who don't pay etc. You have the security of knowing that 1ForYou protects you from other participants who don't pay. You pay, you get drawn, no matter what others do.

    Because of the network effects of organising these circles at scale we can match you to people with the same financial goals and give you access to the group buying discounts from our partner offers.

  • For randomly drawn rotating Stokvels, our Draw generator chooses! This algorithm will randomly select one person from a pot of every person in the Stokvel who is eligible to Draw (i.e. up to date with payments and not Drawn already).

Tips for making the most of your Circles platform

  • FOMO Email Campaigns

    Towards the end of each month, before Circles close for the month, send an campaign to create a sense of urgency for customers to sign up to a Circle. I.e. “Circles are closing in three days, don’t miss out on your opportunity to save with friends.”

  • Reason for saving

    Once you’ve added your Reasons for Saving in the platform set up, make the most of them! Use these reasons to keep your Members motivated to reach their goals by giving them personalised information and relevant offers.

  • The Draw Day Wow

    Draw Day is your biggest ‘WOW’ moment and best chance to get engagement from Members. Your goal is to persuade as many Members as possible to check their Draw status on the dashboard and give you testimonials you can use to grow your business.

  • Asking friends to join

    Try and persuade your existing Members to refer their friends and family into Circles. This is one of the fastest and lowest cost ways to grow your business. You can even offer inentives to people who refer the highest number of people.
